‘The Rock’ is a household name and Apple has tapped on Dwayne’s stardom with mini movie ‘Rock X Siri: Dominate the Day’. The movie has Rock taking up various bucket list with the help of Apple’s virtual assistant Siri.

Though the ad is just 3 min 45 sec long, but Dwayne teased the ad as the “biggest, coolest, sexiest, funnest (is that a word?) movie ever” in a tweet before its release.
Apple is known across the globe for its innovative marketing campaign, but it has been conservative in choosing the Marketing Channels. Apple ads on YouTube is something you have certainly seen before, but tapping Facebook to promote a video campaign is certainly a new strategy. This mini movie marks how Apple is shifting its online marketing strategy.

What makes Apple special is that it has been successful in creating a rock-solid community around its brand. It never throws the product to its customers or ask them to buy. It makes them feel that owning an Apple product will automatically make them part of the ‘Apple Community’.
